Ongoing Retail Park Refurbishment and Revitalisation.
Following the purchase of the site by M&G Real Estate, a strategy was put in place to secure a raft of physical and environmental improvements to underpin the economic viability of the park.
This raft of improvements required planning permission and associated advertisements consents to be delivered. Through constructive dialogue with the local planning authority, consent was secured for:
• New Costa Coffee pod unit; • Unit façade improvements; • Additional retail mezzanine floorspace to support and attract new occupiers; • Comprehensive new unit signage and totem signage scheme.
Consent has recently been secured (on appeal) for the final element of the proposal, a new access road and family pub dinner.
This staged approach to retail park renewal has enabled the local planning authority to appreciate the wider strategy to investment on the park and consequently support the overall aims of the investor / owner through the granting of relevant consents.
