The former public house, comprising 4 floors, was vacant and underused. The building was also a locally designated "heritage asset". Working closely with the architects CODA Planning prepared and submitted an application for the conversion of the 1st and 2nd floors, and part of the ground floor to provide 4.no residential units. Careful consideration was required to the relationship between the residential use and the ground floor / basement commercial use, requiring a change of use of this space to office premises.
